Tradervue alternative with a real-time scanner built in
Tradervue is a well known trading journal that many US day traders have used for years to import executions and review their stats. DayTradingSoftware is built for traders who want the journal and the real-time scanner in the same place, with every trade remembering the scan conditions it came from.
Why traders like Tradervue
Tradervue focuses on journaling. It imports trades from a long list of brokers and platforms, draws charts of each execution, reports on performance by symbol, time and tag, and lets traders share trades with others. It offers a no-cost tier with basic journaling and paid plans for more reports and features.
Tradervue does not include a live market scanner or alerts, so the ideas you trade come from another tool and the link between the scan and the result lives in your head or in your notes.
- Broad broker import support.
- Charts and reports for each trade.
- Trade sharing with a community.
- No real-time scanner or alerts.
When Tradervue fits you better
If you only want a journal, already use a scanner you are happy with and do not need scan data attached to your trades, Tradervue can be the more economical choice, especially with its no-cost tier for light use. It is also a good fit if trade sharing with other traders is important to you, or if your broker is one only a specialised journal imports.
Scanner and journal in one
DayTradingSoftware gives you a stock scanner with real-time US data, premarket gappers from 4:00 to 9:30 ET, relative volume, halts, new highs and momentum change, plus alerts in the browser, by email or push. The same account holds your day trading journal with CSV import from popular US brokers, manual entry, setup and mistake tags, R-multiple and net P&L after commissions.
Every trade carries its scan context
When a trade starts from one of your scans, the journal entry keeps the gap %, RVOL, float and time the scan showed at entry. Analytics then answer questions a plain journal cannot: do your trades on low float gappers with RVOL above 5 have a positive expectancy, or do your best results come from mid float names after 10:30 ET.
A review that reads only your data
The AI day review runs after the session and summarizes your day from your own journal, for example that three of four losses came after moving the stop. It does not predict prices or suggest trades.

What DayTradingSoftware costs
Starter is $49 per month or $24 per month billed $288 per year, Pro is $149 per month or $74 per month billed $888 per year, and Desk is $499 per month or $249 per month billed $2,988 per year for up to 10 seats. Yearly is the default and saves 50%. We do not offer a no-cost tier. You pay more than for a journal alone because the plan includes licensed real-time market data and the scanner. Details are on the pricing page.
Moving your history from Tradervue
Export your executions from your broker as CSV and import them into the journal. Your past trades will not have scan context, because they were not taken from our scanner, but every new trade that starts from a saved scan will. After a month you will have enough data for the first useful breakdowns in the trading journal software.
Trading risk
DayTradingSoftware is a software tool, not investment advice. Past performance and backtests do not guarantee future results. Trading involves substantial risk of loss.
FAQ
-
Can I import the same broker files I use for Tradervue
In most cases yes, because both read the execution export from your broker. Check the import page in the dashboard for the list of supported US brokers and file formats.
-
Why is DayTradingSoftware priced higher than a journal
Plans include a real-time scanner and licensed real-time US market data, alerts and backtests, not only the journal.
-
Does the journal work if I do not use your scanner
Yes. Imported and manual trades get full analytics. Scan context is added only to trades that start from one of your scans.
