Trade Ideas pricing and cost per month for day traders

Trade Ideas has two plans. Standard costs $127 per month, or $1,068 per year (about $89 per month), and Premium costs $254 per month, or $2,136 per year (about $178 per month), as listed on the Trade Ideas pricing page in October 2026. Premium adds AI signals, backtesting and auto trading. If you only need a real-time scanner, alerts and a journal, DayTradingSoftware costs $49 per month on Starter or $24 per month billed yearly.

How much does Trade Ideas cost per month

These are the prices on the Trade Ideas pricing page, checked in October 2026. The site calls the plans Standard (Core) and Premium (Apex).

Trade Ideas plan Monthly billing Yearly billing Yearly, per month
Standard (Core) $127 per month $1,068 per year about $89
Premium (Apex) $254 per month $2,136 per year about $178

Yearly billing saves $456 on Standard and $912 on Premium compared with paying monthly for twelve months. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time. Older reviews and software directories still quote other numbers, including plan names Trade Ideas no longer lists, so check the vendor page on the day you buy.

What each Trade Ideas plan includes

Standard is the scanning plan. It includes real-time data, up to 10 charts on screen, customizable layouts, customizable scans and screeners, more than 500 data points for alerts and filters, price alerts, real-time paper trading, in-app trading and TI Wave.

Premium adds everything aimed at signal driven and automated trading: the first generation AI signals, backtesting, smart risk levels, the RBI and GBI window, auto trading, compare count windows, customizable multi-strategy windows, stock races and unlimited personal watchlists.

The practical takeaway is simple. If you do not plan to use the AI signals or backtest scan based strategies, Standard covers the scanner, and the extra $127 per month on Premium buys features you will not open.

Is Trade Ideas worth the money

Trade Ideas is worth its price for a trader who uses what is unique to it: the large library of prebuilt channels, the AI signals on Premium and the auto trading connection. Those are real features that most scanners do not have, and the product has a long track record with US day traders.

It is harder to justify for a trader who builds three or four scans, watches them from 8:00 ET to 11:00 ET and trades by hand. In that case you pay $1,068 to $2,136 a year mainly for a ranked list of tickers, and the review side of your trading still lives in a spreadsheet, because Trade Ideas does not include a trading journal for your own executions.

A quick way to decide: look at your last 30 trading days and count how many trades came from an AI signal or an automated strategy. If the answer is close to zero, you are paying Premium prices for a Standard routine, or Standard prices for something a cheaper scanner can do.

Trade Ideas pricing compared with other scanners

A cheaper Trade Ideas alternative for manual day traders

DayTradingSoftware covers the part of Trade Ideas most manual traders use every morning, then adds the review side. The stock scanner runs in real time across US stocks with premarket gappers, top gainers, relative volume, new highs, halts and momentum change over 1 or 5 minutes. You set every filter yourself (price, float, volume, gap %, RVOL, change % and ATR) and turn the rows you care about into trading alerts.

The difference is the trading journal. Each trade you log or import from your broker CSV keeps the scan state at entry: gap %, RVOL, float, price and time of day. After a few weeks you can see, for example, whether your low float gappers above 20% pay better before 9:45 ET than after 10:30 ET. Every plan also includes simple backtesting software, 20 tests per month on Starter and 200 on Pro, so you can check an intraday rule before you trade it.

What you give up compared with Trade Ideas

To be fair about it: we do not generate AI trade signals, we have no auto trading and no paper trading simulator, and we do not ship a library of hundreds of prebuilt channels. If those are why you pay for Trade Ideas, keep it. The full feature comparison is on our Trade Ideas alternative page.

Which plan to pick for your trading

  • You trade by hand from 3 to 5 scans. A real-time scanner with alerts is enough. DayTradingSoftware Starter at $24 per month yearly, or Trade Ideas Standard at about $89 per month yearly if you want its channel library.
  • You trade full time and want after hours scanning and unlimited scans. DayTradingSoftware Pro at $74 per month yearly, which also adds custom formula filters.
  • You want AI signals, backtested strategies and auto trading in one platform. Trade Ideas Premium is the plan built for that.
  • You run a small prop desk. Our prop trading desk plan puts up to 10 traders on shared scans with roles and risk limits for $249 per month billed yearly.

Some traders also keep longer term swing positions next to their day trades. For those ideas it can help to run a quick rule-based backtest on daily data before you hold anything overnight, since an intraday scanner is the wrong tool for that job.
